Boys Gaelic Football

Coached by Mr. Greene and Mr. Murray, this team is open to all 5th and 6th class boys who are eager to develop their skills and compete.

• Trials: Begin in early September
• Squad Size: A squad of twenty boys is selected from 5th and 6th class.
• Training: The team trains once a week at AGP to prepare for the upcoming competitions.

Competitions:

• Cumann na mBunscol League: Takes place during September and October. The team will play three matches in a round robin group stage.

  • The top two teams from each group will advance to the Cup quarter-finals, while the bottom two will compete in the Shield quarter-finals.

• Blitz Events: The team also participates in senior and junior blitzes at Lucan Sarsfields throughout the school year.

Scoil Áine has had great success in recent years winning in Croke Park last year and narrowly missing out on a final place this year, going out on penalties in the semi-final.
